The Ogemaw County Board of Commissioners seeks interested individuals to serve on a number of appointed boards and committees. County residents interested in service on one or more of these bodies should complete and submit an Application for Appointment. Construction Board of Appeals
The construction board of appeals consists of three members appointed for two-year terms. Members of the construction board of appeals shall be qualified by experience or training.
Economic Development Corporation
The Board of Directors of the Economic Development Corporation consists of eleven persons appointed for terms of six years.
Housing Advisory Committee
The Housing Advisory Committee promotes the preservation and creation of housing.

Land Bank Authority
The Land Bank Authority Board consists of the County Treasurer, at least one township supervisor, and residents of Ogemaw County as appointed by the Board of Commissioners. Appointments are for three-year terms.
Parks and Recreation Commission
The Parks and Recreation Commission consists of 10 members including a Road Commission designee, Drain Commissioner or designee, Planning Commission designee, two county commissioners, and five county citizens. The term of office for appointed members is three years.
Planning Commission
The planning commission consists of seven appointed for three-year terms.
Transit Committee
The Transit Committee is a special committee of the Board of Commissioners consisting of five members. The Committee will sunset on December 31, 2024.
Veteran Affairs Committee
Committee members are appointed for a term of 4 years each.
Zoning Board of Appeals
The zoning board of appeals is composed of seven members, one of whom shall be a member of the planning commission. The term of office is three years, except for a member serving because of his or her membership on the planning commission, whose term shall be limited to the time as a member of that body.
